Behind the scenes in Summer Bay

I spent a week in Sydney, Australia, photographing the cast of Home and Away while a television crew was making Soapy Secrets, presented by Tristan Banks.

Rather than working as part of the television crew, I followed the production and photographed the cast as they moved around Sydney, giving me the opportunity to capture them away from the normal publicity photographs and studio environment.

The assignment included Isla Fisher, Melissa George, Dieter Brummer, Ray Meagher, Lynne McGranger, Ryan Clark and other members of the Home and Away cast.

The photographs were subsequently published across this multi-page magazine feature, “Home and Away at Play.”

The original transparencies from the assignment are no longer in my archive, but these surviving magazine pages provide a record of the shoot — including a caption in the published feature identifying me as the photographer.
